Welcome to Dispatches From A Collapsing State

For awhile now I’ve been struggling to find a better way to get my ideas and thoughts across, especially considering so much of the infrastructure for communication (primarily social media) is focused on a) limiting expression, b) commodifying anger and outrage at the current moment, and c) using artificially induced anger and frustration as a means of reducing the possibility of change.

What I have decided to do, and am quite excited about, is moving much of my research and educational resources to this new platform, where I can expand on the ideas I used to write threads about, comment on current events, shed some light on some of the stranger and more inexplicable parts of this current crisis, and feel more free to explore deeper and more varied topics than I would have within so-called “mainstream” publications.

I have to be honest: starting this venture is wildly exciting. I’ve wanted to do this, and find a means of expressing myself and communicating, for so long now and have felt so hampered and demoralized by the artificially constrictive, not to mention toxic, world of social media. What you will get here, and what a subscription will afford you, is a behind-the-scenes look at my ongoing research (currently I am writing a complete reconsideration of “Western Civilization” that focuses on the political, economic, and religious history of modern times and how that has led to this moment of crisis) and the many, many, MANY topics that I am just dying to talk about and explore. Not to mention, we will focus on actionable items and much-needed alternatives to this destructive status quo.
