I really appreciate your thoughts about males. I think "we" do not dig deep enough with respect to this kind of thing (Racist, bad), and not digging deep enough will, as has been forever, maintain the status quo albeit maybe to a lesser degree. What is behind the violence? Rape is not about sex. Violence, cruelty and abuse are not behaviors that can be switched off. The wiring is deep--years of justification, generations of stories, eons of lies and gaslighting. If we are punsihing someone, putting them in jail, it is too late. The crime has happend. How do we make an effort to stop it form ever happening so that certain people, women, POC, dont have to walk around in fear.

Here’s a coping mechanism that I’ve shared w my adult children & try to use— we’re the protagonists on the Hero’s Journey and we’re caught in The Ordeal (the belly of the beast - like Pinocchio was stuck in the whale’s belly)- but change is part of the story- We’ll move to the next stage at some point.

Yet 10+ years personally feels like a long time to be stranded in The Ordeal. (Been longer than that for some Americans.)

Ready to move to the next part of the cycle.
