I really appreciate this. Especially your TONE. I have felt mostly futility for…is it DECADES now? You always include kindness and that is a balm. For a reader who has been eye-rolling at least, panicking at intervals, I have been wondering how much genuflecting in gratitude must we perform to Biden as this campaign gets going? Night 1 made me squeamish. I prefer focusing upon how this democratic movement CAN change. Acknowledging that there are clearly people moving in that direction, better to hope for and work toward those changes that can lead away from the older guards’ Neoliberal agenda. Thank you for the mindset reframe.
Thank you Jared...I did not watch because I am old and tired and we do not have a TV...I appreciate your words of caution...Now I can watch YouTube reruns of the speeches in the proper frame of mind...
Have you written anything specific about what "a robust plan for a better future" looks like? I thought the housing plan was a great first step. I think reupping the Child Tax Credit is also pretty fire. Ultimately, I think we need a functional social safety net which actually empowers labor relative to capital. But in the meantime, in terms of incremental change, I think there's a lot to be excited about.
your commentary read like Biden saying he's trying so hard to stop the genocide to the Palestinian people just wait and see. Mean while he's funding Isreal to the teath with intel and $$$ and WOMD that are doing just that to the peoples of the Middle East and beyond. So believe me when I ? your wait and see the "new direction" a more youthful Dem Party takes from this convention and beyond. I suspect like Biden and his talk of peace in the middle east you'll see the same from Harris and comany lots of talk but she'llcontinue the walk Genocide; she'll continue the neolib/neocon walk. You want change my friend...you got to take it to the street.

Democrats are rejecting the disaster of Republican Reaganomics. Democrats are not the ones asking for tax cuts for billionaires.
The billionaire class is the root of all evils. They poison everything else.

I want to hear Bernie Sanders speak at the convention...any chance of that? AOC spoke but said just the things corporate democrats want to hear.
I agree.

Honestly it was incredibly boring....I'm on the East Coast so I did not stay up for JB. Hilary was boring, AOC was shrill. I was very disappointed.
