Monday's breaking news that the Supreme Court is set to overturn Roe v. Wade is just the beginning of an ambitious and relentless attempt to remake this country
Anyone who thinks that none of this would be happening if not for the 2016 election is living in a fantasy world. That democracy could somehow reset itself after four years and get back to being "functional" and "boring." That a (draft) opinion like this is a closed loop that won't impact every other decision on concerns across the board from now on, ad finitum, ad finitum.

I’m hoping that this leaked report will fire people up about voting. But maybe they’re more interested in who wore what at the Met Gala like some have suggested.
powerful - much worse than i realized. i had not taken it to the next steps after they come for other rights. after prev person was elected, i was numb and thought i was being extreme in how bad it was. and then i started learning and saw i wasn’t being extreme. and the pace - whew - Sarah Kendzior and Timothy Snyder talk about how fast it will accelerate.
