How do we get ordinary Americans to start paying attention? This is not a rhetorical question. I would really like to know what measures can be taken to get people to quit watching the Kardashians, football or whatever else has their rapt attention by the neck. I've thought about starting my own podcast but I'm a nobody who would actually prefer to stay that way. Plus why would anybody want to hear what I have to say. (FYI, I've just purchased a green wig to wear if I decide to go through with it.)
Not downplaying the significant importance of registering people to vote and knocking on doors to GOTV but those measures are mere bandaids if all people do after every election is go back to ignoring fascism knocking at the door.
We have nothing on the left that compares to the right wing propaganda machine, but, I think, a concerted left wing propaganda movement is our only option. We need digital marketing campaigns appearing constantly, blanketing the air waves, that circumvent MSM, and on all social media platforms, especially facebook (which I effing loathe) because that's what Republicans did to persuade Americans to vote for a Russian asset.
Seriously. Trump is a Russian asset. And yet America voted for him.
